Why does a bathroom remodel have to cost so much?
I want to redo my bathroom in the worst way, but I’m just so cheap. Everytime I go shopping I’m always shocked at how much it costs to buy anything. For instance, the easiest place to start (once I’ve picked the colors) is to look for a good bathroom vanity. But jeez, $800 for a sink and a cabinet to go under it? I need to find something else.
Ok, Menards had some cheaper. $200 seems a lot more reasonable, I can handle that. Now to pick the style and colors. There are actually a lot of options and custom vanity cabinets specific to them are also possible. But that would cost more, so off the display is probably better.
Consider, do I have enough wall space to hold a double sink vanity? I have a hubby and two kids, maybe I should make room for more people. But then why would I want to share? Maybe I should put the double vanity in the downstairs bathroom and let the boys share it. Good idea.
That means I should also redo the downstairs bathroom. Ok, that’s two bath projects, now sure my budget can handle it. I’m cheap remember? That would need a glass shower enclosure installed so they don’t have to bother me in the morning. I do have the room.
Oh boy, this is gonna be big.
